Instructional Technology Services

Instructional Technology Services maintains a complement of instructional equipment for classroom support. Upon request, this equipment can be delivered, set-up, and retrieved by the staff of Instructional Technology Support Services. We recommend 48 hours advanced notice, with a minimum notice of 12:00 noon the preceding day. All requests are subject to the availability of the equipment requested.

Equipment requests for weekend use must be picked up by 4:00 pm Friday afternoon and returned by 11:00 am the following Monday morning. There is no charge for use of equipment by faculty and staff for official University related activities.

Technical assistance during class: Support offices are ready to assist classroom users with technical issues or problems. Users can contact the CSS office by telephone or by using the “Request Assistance” button on the control panel and a technician will attend to your needs. A technician may be able to address the issue over the phone; otherwise, a technician will be dispatched to your classroom. This service is available during normal instructional hours while regular classes are in session. 

Technical assistance after class: Users can contact the CSS office by using the “Report a Problem” link on our website and submit the required information and a technician will attend to your needs. A technician may contact you for more information and will contact you with the results of our testing. This service takes place as the class schedule allows but is usually resolved within 24 hours.

Priorities: Within each priority classification, the policy of “first come - first served” is followed. Priority is granted to instructional projects and academic research presentations. Projects may be declined or referred to off-campus facilities if demand for services is high or deadlines are abbreviated.

Room maintenance: Classroom Support Services maintains AV equipment in all registrar-scheduled classrooms. Repair or replacement of equipment that will take longer than a few minutes will be done as the class schedule permits.
